My story

My football thing started at primary school on the windswept Isle of Lewis. The boys got to play football on Friday afternoons, while the girls had to settle for games that could be played on a board. I got bored of this, got a band of girls together, and challenged the headmaster. We won the argument, and us girls got to play footie.

When we moved to NZ, I learned to call it "soccer", and got to play the game outside a lot more! Now I'm back in Scotland, and it's football again.

Other sports I've dabbled in include running - cross country, athletics, road - orienteering and badminton. Plus anything you can play on the beach or on holiday.
