Feature suggestions/requests

Another one for the beta testers - if, as you're testing, you find yourself saying - 'This is good but it would be really loads better if Teamtastic also let you do X' - just drop a comment on this post with your idea.

Things to keep in mind when suggesting ideas: Teamtastic should be simple to use, should support a wide range of teams from sports teams to community groups. It can't and won't be able to do everything. But what it does do it needs to do damn well.

It would be nice if there

It would be nice if there was a regular events type feature, where instead of entering each training as a separate event you can add it as weekly or monthly etc, also would prefer the invites to events to be optional, some events it really isn't necessary. Otherwise now that the image sizing has been sorted i haven't ran into any other problems and so far found it easy to use. Started opening up to my team and it seems to be going down well. And a slightly picky request, for the membership type would be nice if committee was an option

The original idea for events

The original idea for events is that they were for genuine 'big' events rather than normal practises.  It makes sense to use sign ups for these and it's easier to see the bigger events when browsing the main site events list - rather than being swamped by loads of practices.

I suggest creating a 'training schedule' page and putting info like this (that doesn't change often) on it (i'll up your page allocation so that you can create another one for free).  I will still look at what i can do to add Regular events, but it is a lot trickier.

There is already an option to not invite people to an event. It is the bottom option on the invite options. I will try and clarify it's usage.

Will add a membership type of 'commitee' - good idea. I also intend to add 'number' (aka shirt number) to the member profile fields.
