At Mixed Tour 2 we were eager to improve on our 9th place result at MT1 and get back up into the top eight. We knew this would be a difficult task when we found ourselves in a pool with Curious Bacon, another Leeds team with many friends and team mates. We managed a win here, 15-5 and another against Strange Blue from Cambridge (14-10) and Discuits, London (15-7) leaving us top of the pool with a shot at the top eight on Sunday morning.  

We arrived on Sunday to find we were playing High Altitude in the 8v9 cross over, the team that knocked us out last tour! We were out for revenge and played a good game to take a convincing win 15-7. This left us in eighth place and the opportunity to climb further. The 6v8 game was against a team that we had yet to play this season, BAF from Bath. They had some strong players and a good defence, but we took an early lead and pulled the game away towards the end winning 15-8. 

Our final game 5v6 was against Brighton 1, again a strong squad with Brighton 2 also playing in the top eight. This game was closely fought, but we took an early lead and the half going up by 4 points. However they scored successive points after the half and managed to pull it back to 9-9, with a challenging long game and good defence. We worked hard however, to regain our lead and with some excellent long plays finished the game 15-11. We therefore climbed up to 5th place from 9th, winning all of our games of the weekend and finishing the highest place possible this tour. A very successful result!
