By Captain, Sally FraserTour 1 what to say!? Looking back I think Tour 1 was pretty amazing. I have never been at a tournament where 4 of the 5 games have gone to the wire! Three sudden death games, one 11-13! That's incredible and really exciting! On Saturday our first game was against Swift our cutting was all over the place but to our credit we stuck in and ground out the win in sudden death. After a slow start against MU we went away with that game which was good.Our last game was against Iceni and this was a really good game. We stepped up the standard, our cutting was good and we looked very determined. What was disappointing was that having put ourselves in a position to win that game we promptly turned over and unfortunately gave the game away.  This meant we would have the harder semi after coming second in the pool and would play the other Iceni team.The Sunday semi against Iceni was a good game, but again some drops proved crucial.  We never gave up though having given away a 2 pt lead at the start and showed real strength to come back to evens at 10-10.  However a late lapse again just let the game slip away from us even after Sara had rallied us all up at half.The 3/4 play off against the other Iceni team who had lost to Bristol in their final was quite frustrating especially as neither team could score at the up wind end and it wasn't even that windy.  It came down to sudden death again and Iceni came out on top for a second time with the downwind score! Overall we played well but let ourselves down at times which in such close games proves the difference.  LLL we can win on Tour, believe it and lets do it next time!!!
