Sir Adam Bittler

Sir Adam Bittler will forever have his hand and heart in Adams State Rugby. He worked tirelessly, everyday to make Adams State Rugby all it could become. Constantly fighting outside forces, his quest was to make a name for both the institution as well as the sport. As President and Coach, he proudly carried the Adams State Rugby Team to new heights and bigger things. He didn't just play rugby, he lived it. On the pitch, he gave everything of himself to achieve success. He played with unmatched focus and dedication. He brought power and toughness to every scrum, ruck and hit. He was a dynamic leader and confident player. He relied on his ability to play the game better than his opponent. Future ruggers of Adams State will forever be indebt to Adam for all that he has done and will continue to do, because to him, Adams State Rugby is life.   

 

Sir Tony Wheeler

Sir Tony Wheeler is the statue of Adams State Rugby. Being a part of the team since its inception in 2001, Tony has been the true figure of ASC pride and power. He played with a hard-nosed, aggressive and passionate confidence that will never be experienced again.  Tony displayed complete commitment to the game and to his team. He carried a mighty voice on the pitch and gave a thundering blow to every opponent. He was a constant force both in his thoughtful leadership as well as his physical play. He respected all men, but feared none. He was the embodiment of every Adams State Rugger. He loved rugby for its battle, its sincerity and its glory. Tony is Adams State Rugby.

Sir Jacob Heiney

2001-2003

Sir Jacob Heiney was a gritty and tough player. He supplied the team with great vocal leadership and inspiration. Jake was a the big brother to all of the players. He was both a knowledgeable and keen player. Jake held one position throughout his tenure and he played it well. He didn't just play rugby, he dominated and conquered it, with an unrelenting, powerful and chaotic nature. When Jake was on the pitch everybody knew it.

Sir Micah Mills

2001-2003

Sir Micah Mills was the founder of the Adams State team. He showed up in this small town with the idea of creating something big. With his leadership and guidance both on and off the pitch the team grew into something great. He was and forever will be the heartbeat of this team. Without the vision and groundwork of this great man the Adams State Rugby Club would never exist. Thanks, Micah.

Sir Mike Verderaime

2001-2003

Sir Mike Verderaime was a great leader and inspirational player. He was a player that you could always count on and he led us well. He can be remembered mostly for his ability to keep the team relaxed both on and off the pitch. He will always be known as the great "V-Man", rugger, partier and woman extraordinaire.

Sir Clayton Shonk

2001-2003

Sir Clayton Shonk may be the greatest rugger ever to wear an Adams State jersey. He played like an uncaged beast on the pitch, commanding respect and dominating opponents. He was the piston that helped drive Adams State to great success. All ruggers from this day forward will have to meet the standard set by the great Clayton Shonk.

Sir Kavik Peacock

2002-2003

Sir Kavik Peacock was the type of rugger that we all wish to be. He was good on the pitch and even better with the ladies. He played with a quiet confidence, aggressiveness and toughness that would victimize all opponents. He was a master of all both on and off the pitch. When he first became a part of the team so did a new meaning for "stud".

Sir Shawn Nixon

Sir Shawn Nixon played with a passion and toughness that was unmatched by anyone. He would sacrifice himself on every play if he thought that it would help the team win. Time after time his outstanding spirit on the pitch helped lead this team to victory. He will forever be known as the player with a heart of a true rugger.
